About OBA

The Ontario Badminton Association, (OBA) is a non profit amateur sport organization responsible for 'organized' badminton within the province of Ontario. It was formed on February 25, 1925 and is recognized by the Ministry of Tourism and Recreation, a section within the Ontario Government. The OBA exists to provide an organized, structured environment for the activity of competitive badminton in Ontario.

In cooperation with affiliates, the OBA achieves this through: *the coordination and sanctioning of quality competitive opportunities and programs across Ontario*the linking of competitive participants across Ontario via a membership program and regular, quality communication*the training and certification of quality coaches and officials to support the needs of the competitive participant at all levels.
